We movie geeks love our closely guarded secrets. We covet brilliant, yet unappreciated directors and actors, then howl in dismay when the civilized world discovers them. This process is already underway with Hong Kong cinema (Jackie Chan, John Woo, Michelle Yeoh, et al) but there is a twenty year backlog of movies that outclass Hollywood in almost every genre. You think I'm exaggerating? Sure, you're entitled to your opinion...I'll see you at the premiere of Jet Li's U.S. debut. I'll be the one in tears.
